Deirdre’s Damejeanne is a red cuvée of Marquette made from the Vergennes vineyard, fermented on its skins with native yeasts and blended after a period of élevage in glass demijohns. 2022 was a warm year with drought-like conditions. Damejeanne is always fruity yet savory, a little smoky and a lot peppery, happy with such dishes like roast pork, duck confit, chicken cutlets, creamy tomato soup, grilled steak even.
