Arnot-Roberts is one of the legends of the ‘New California’ wave of micro-producers who focus mainly on single-vineyard wines made in tiny quantities. While their Cabs, Chards and Pinots get all the attention, it’s this wonderfully complex rosé based on the Touriga Nacional grape that just may be the most sought after. It combines a range of beautifully deep pink fruits with great acidic structure and a fantastic savory edge. It’s also a great rosé for aging, as well, which is, sadly, something too few people realize the benefit of! Give this a year or two, and the richness of fruit and savory complexity will explode.
